St. Vincent de Paul

St. Vincent de Paul update for October 6, 2024

“Is not Jesus pointing to children even as models for grownups?” – Pope John Paul II

We can learn much from children. They give entirely of themselves in faith, prayer and love. They trust and forgive with full hearts. Sadly, some children do not experience a secure life and they live in poverty. They lack food, shelter, health care and education that is needed to survive and thrive.

SVDP works to help families and children, who are poor, vulnerable, and oppressed. Together with our St. Isidore parishioners, we give with our hearts to help improve the lives of those affected by poverty.

Ways to help: Blue envelopes for cash donations are located at each entrance of our church. The food pantry is in need of the following items listed in order of importance. Thank you for your generous contributions.

  • Cash Donations – Blue Envelopes at Church Entrances
  • $25 Gift Cards – Walmart, Meijer, Kroger
  • Laundry Soap
  • Canned – Corn, Green Beans, Kidney Beans
  • Elbow Noodles
  • Canned – Tuna
  • Pudding Mix
  • Helpers – Hamburger, Tuna
  • Canned – Pineapple, Peaches, Pears

Meijer “Simply Give” is back! The fall campaign continues through December 28. Please take a Simply Give card, located at each church entrance or at Meijer checkouts, for purchase only at the Meijer store on 24 Mile Road and Hayes. All donations will be used to supplement the food pantry.
