St. Vincent de Paul

St. Vincent de Paul update for October 8, 2023

“Put your heart aside. Duty comes first. But when fulfilling your duty, put your heart into it. It helps.”

  • St. Josemaria Escriva

We are challenged to connect our faith and our service. Jesus teaches us to love our neighbor. A perfect example of love and service could be the story of the Good Samaritan. Imagine being victim to the loss of a job, loss of health, or any loss leaving a person without basic needs in life. Our compassion as Christians creates a feeling to help support those in need. Please consider a donation to help pay for our qualified neighbors basic needs, or choose to help our food pantry.

Here is a list of items the food panty is in need of:

  • Pump Hand Soap
  • Toilet Paper
  • Oatmeal
  • Canned Ravioli
  • Club Crackers
  • Corn Muffin Mix
  • Tuna Helper
  • Canned Fruit – Fruit Cocktail, Pears, Peaches
  • Cookies
  • Boxed Pudding
  • Mac and Cheese
  • $25 Gift Cards – Walmart, Meijer, Kroger

Meijer $10 Simply Give gift cards are available in the church gathering space, or the new Meijer grocery store on 24 Mile and Hayes. All Simply Give gift cards must be paid for at the new Meijer store.

We are very grateful for your generous donations. However, due to storage restrictions, we are unable to handle donations of clothing and pet food. Please donate clothing to the St. Vincent de Paul store, and pet food to the Humane Society on 22 Mile Road. Thank you for your understanding.

Jesus, come to help your people,
St. Vincent de Paul Society
