Ultrasound Machine Fundraiser

  • May 17

The Knights of Columbus donates to many worthwhile organizations, but this effort is one of the more meaningful and impactful. This actually saves lives. The Compassion Pregnancy Center is an organization that specializes in helping those experiencing unplanned pregnancy by providing pregnancy tests and limited ultrasounds, as well as education and mentoring. 80% of women choose life when they see an ultrasound of their baby.

The four K of C councils in our district have committed to purchasing an ultrasound machine for the Compassion Pregnancy Center, replacing an existing unit with a remaining life expectancy of between 12 and 18 months. It was this machine that our four councils helped purchase in 2017. Ultrasound machines are rather expensive, around $60,000. 50% of this amount is being covered by our K of C Supreme Council. The remaining $30,000 is being split between the four councils, based on the number of members in each council. Our council’s portion is $9,200, for which we have raised $4,925 so far. We hope to raise the remaining $4,275 through this and other upcoming fundraisers.

Our council will conduct a Pancake Breakfast to raise money for the purchase of this ultrasound machine. Your participation and help in this effort would be greatly appreciated. Please be generous in any donation that you can make for this Right to Life cause. May God Bless You for any donation that you make.
