Doing the right thing no matter what
Wednesday of the 2nd Week in Ordinary Time
Sometimes you are slow to do the right thing when you know that doing the right thing will have negative consequences.
This is reflected in today’s gospel when Jesus takes the initiative to heal the man with a withered hand. He knows he will get push back from the pharisees. They’ve already attacked him in the past. Jesus knows what the pharisees are going to do but he heals the man anyway.
Even when you know there will be pushback, do the right thing anyway.
