The importance of caring for the sick in Mark’s gospel

Thursday of the 2nd Week in Ordinary Time

Jesus’ healing ministry is a significant part of his overall mission especially in Mark’s gospel. People come from all over to be healed by him. It is a sign that God’s Kingdom is at work among us.

Fr. Ron reminds us today how we should all be working to help those who are sick such as homebound communion ministers. The work we do for the sick and infirmed is a real mark of our Christian discipleship.
