Don’t give up and dig deep
Thursday of the 22nd Week in Ordinary Time
Today’s gospel is St. Luke’s account of the calling of Peter to be an apostle.
Peter has been fishing all night and has caught nothing. He was probably very frustrated.
We have probably felt similar with frustration and exhaustion during the pandemic
We’ve felt tired or frustrated, know people affected by the virus, and are just all tired of wearing masks
Jesus tells Peter to not give. Peter listens to Jesus and pulls out an abundance of fish from the sea.
Fr. Ron encourages us to cast our nets deep inside of ourselves to encounter God’s presence and where we know God’s love is.s
