This is why it’s important to go to Mass each weekend
In today’s homily, Fr. Ron reflects on how God is not just some distant deity, but really a personal God. He knows us and calls us by name; he knows everything about us and cares for us.
We see this in todays’ resurrection gospel. Mary stays into the tomb and Jesus appears to her, but she doesn’t recognize him. Jesus calls her by name and she instantly recognizes him.
Our faith is not just spiritual but it’s also physical. He comes to us through our senses. This is why it is important to go to church to physically encounter him.
