This is why you shouldn’t hold people in their sin
Monday of the Fifth Week of Lent
Holding people in their sins is something that many of us do. We tend to see that person in the lens of that sin even years later.
The good news is that God does not hold us in our sin. We see this illustrated in today’s Gospel that tells the story of the woman caught in adultery. Many stand around and stare at her and ask Jesus if they should stone her. “Whoever is without sin shall cast the first stone.”
Jesus doesn’t hold her in her sin and encourages her to go and sin no more.
We need to do this for others and for ourselves.
