My name is Jeff Loeb and I was ordained a permeant deacon of the Archdiocese of Detroit on October 6th, 2018. I will be serving and praying with you starting the weekend of October 13th.
My wife, Connie and I are excited to be part of the St. Isidore family. I have known Fr. Ron for several years as he was my spiritual director through my years of formation. I look forward serving alongside Fr. Ron, Fr, Mark, and Deacon Tom. Connie and I would like to share with you something about ourselves.
I currently work as an insurance coordinator for a kidney dialysis company. I am also a 3rd and 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus. I have one more year of studies at Sacred Heart Major Seminary before graduation with a Master of Arts in Pastoral Studies.
My wife and I have been parishioners at Saint Paul of Tarsus in Clinton Township for the last 8 years. Connie currently works with low income families for Head Start and Early Head Start programs in Hamtramck. She was a catechist for the children’s liturgy of the word and has worked as a Level 1 Section Head with the St. Paul of Tarsus religious education program. Connie began teaching in religious education as a teenager at St. Isidore. Â
Connie and I have been married for 11 years last April. We were married at St. Isidore’s in 2007. We do not have children, but we do have a Westie, named Sebastian.Â
Connie and I moved to Florida for a job opportunity and in 2010 we returned to Michigan after a reorganization of the company. It was during this time that I began to feel a calling from the Holy Spirit. I resisted it for a few years, but after much prayer and discernment I realized my call to the permanent diaconate.
Connie and I are so excited and very blessed to get to know all of you and spend time with you as we continue our new journey. Â
I would like to thank Fr. Ron and the St. Isidore Community for your support and I look forward in continuing my spiritual growth and service to the parish of St. Isidore.
Peace and Blessings to you,
Deacon Jeff and Connie Loeb
