St. Isidore Christian Service Commission is looking for more members to carry out the mission of St. Isidore, that of reaching out to others, especially beyond our borders. Examples of what we have done in 2016 to reach out beyond ourselves is listed below:

- Food Drive for St. Max/St. Francis
- Eye Glass/ Hearing Aid Recycling
- Right to Life Crosses on the lawn
- St. Leo’s Soup Kitchen renovation (Detroit)
- Boxes for Troops
- R.O.P.E. (On the Rise Bakery – Detroit)
- Baby Pantry (on going)
- Flu Inoculations
- Warm Clothing for Homeless, (Franciscan Ministry – Detroit)
- Blood Drives (3)
- Right to Life Cards /Ornaments
- Ladies Tea
- Bereavement meetings
- Communion to the Homebound/Nursing homes
- CPR/AED training – Parish Nurse
- Blood Pressure Screenings
- Care Notes
- Bereavement Mailings
- (Individual counseling with Parish Nurse or  Pastoral Minister when requested).
We are looking for new and exciting ideas in order to reach more people in more places. If you have some ideas, come, join the Commission and help bring a little joy into the lives of those who have no joy. We meet the first Tuesday of the month at 6:30 PM.
