Jesus could no longer tolerate people taking advantage of others in the temple area, so much so, that he made a whip out of cords and drove them all out. He even spilled the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables. He was not happy and he had to take a distinct action to show it.
In the book Messy and Foolish, author Matthew Warner writes “An accidental life will never by fulfilling to a creature that was made to choose.” Yet, often times we go about living our lives in an uninspired manner. Make today the day to ponder the Connecting Point question “What distinct action must I take to align my living with my beliefs?” And, do yourself a favor, and take a distinct action to turn your life into something that honors your faith, and all that you believe.
