Eucharistic Adoration

“Jesus has made himself the Bread of Life to give us life. If you really want to grow in love, come back to the Eucharist, come back to Adoration.” – St. Teresa of Calcutta

What is the greatest Sacrament?
It’s the Holy Eucharist, the Most Blessed Sacrament, because it contains God Himself, Jesus Christ, the Second Person of the Holy Trinity: His Body, His Blood, His Soul, His Divinity, really and truly and substantially present. (“Treasures of the Eucharist,” 2024 National Eucharistic Congress)

Why do we have Adoration?
It is always nice to be close to loved ones in a phone call, FaceTime, or a text message/email, but nothing beats face-to-face personal time. Coming to Adoration puts us face-to-face with Jesus, the same Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity that resides in every Tabernacle, in every Catholic church in the world, who is revealed for us to see in the monstrance during Adoration. “In this world I cannot see the Most High Son of God with my own eyes, except for His Most Holy Body and Blood. (St. Francis of Assisi)

Where can I spend time with Jesus being revealed in the Eucharist?
Every Tuesday at St. Isidore following morning Mass, the Holy Eucharist is removed from the Tabernacle, placed the monstrance, and processed to the Resource Center. Adoration continues to 4:15 and concludes with Benediction and a procession back to the Tabernacle.

How can I make spending time in the presence of Jesus part of my weekly devotion?
Pick any time slot you that fits your busy schedule from 8:30am to 4:15pm and contact the St. Isidore office at 586-286-1700 or Dave Bisdorf at 586-202-7000. The graces that you will receive for any time spent in Adoration will be time well spent.
