Fr. Ron’s Reflections: November 23, 2025

In June of this year a group from St. Isidore traveled to Maryland for a Rebuilt Conference at the Church of the Nativity. The conference’s theme this year: Can You Imagine… The fruits of that conference led to a leadership team working with the staff at Church of the Nativity to determine areas we felt our parish could use some polishing up and perhaps new initiatives. Four key areas were identified as places where we wanted to focus: leadership, worship, volunteering, and small groups.

On September 29th, the staff spent a day ‘imagining’ what we could do to enhance our parish in those four areas. The day proved to be enriching and fun. It’s always exciting to think of what could be. To dream without limits. Of course reality does eventually settle in, but the day was still sparked with enthusiasm and great ideas.

To give a high level overview of each area:

Leadership: To create a parish community where leadership is not concentrated in a few, but multiplied across many – lay and ordained, young and old, so that the Body of Christ is strengthened, the Gospel is proclaimed, and God’s kingdom is built in our midst.

Worship: Present a message series that keeps people coming back. Create message wherein people remain engaged throughout the week. With a result where people are inspired to be involved in ministry.

Volunteering: To build a unified and dynamic network of all volunteers and ministries that celebrates service, strengthens communications, and fosters deeper connection within our parish community; empowering every volunteer to live their faith through purposeful ministry and shared mission.

Small Groups: Build a vibrant parish-wide network of small groups that unites people of every generation, culture, and stage of discipleship to foster deeper faith, stronger community, and a shared commitment to Christ.

Look for updates from these groups in future bulletins.

God Bless,

Fr. Ron
