MCREST

MCREST is a transitional shelter which provides homeless and displaced individuals the opportunity for successful transition to independence. MCREST started out as a one day “day camp” for the homeless in 1988. With the success of that endeavor, it grew into overnight shelters with 12 churches participating. MCREST has since grown from those 12 churches into over 70 churches now participating.

St. Isidore will be hosting Sunday, August 20 – Sunday, August 27. We are asking anyone who might be available to help with this endeavor to volunteer to help put faith into action.

Please consider volunteering to help make this a success. We’ve made signing up easy by either going to our website: stisidore.church/mcrest or you can fill out a form in the Gathering Space and drop it in the dedicated box.

In addition to the need for volunteers, you can also help by donating these essential items for the men while they stay here at St. Isidore:

  • Tube socks
  • Underwear
  • T-Shirts
  • Toothpaste (travel size)
  • Tooth Brushes
  • Razors
  • Non-alcoholic mouth wash
  • Shaving cream
  • Small bar soap
  • Shampoo/conditioner
  • Body wash
  • Nail clippers
  • Deodorant

If you are able to help with purchasing these essentials, please place them in designated containers in the gathering space.

Thank you for your continued generosity to support MCREST.
