Church music preferences vary widely among individuals. Just as people have diverse tastes in food, art, and literature, their musical inclinations within the context of worship can be equally diverse. Some find solace in traditional hymns, appreciating their rich history and timeless melodies, while others are drawn to contemporary worship songs with modern arrangements and lyrics that resonate with today’s issues. The beauty of this diversity lies in the ability of church music to cater to the spiritual needs of a diverse congregation, ensuring that everyone can connect with their faith through the melodies and lyrics that speak to their hearts.
We do our best in comprehensively planning music each week including traditional hymns, contemporary Christians hits, and folk hymns (music in the middle) at most Masses so that everyone finds at least one song that allows them to connect with God through sung worship. However, we’d love to know more about how you sing and worship at St. Isidore to help ensure that our approach to music and the way in which it is projected on screens continues to enhance the worship experience.
