Join Us for the Fall Rummage Sale! Volunteers Needed
The Altar Society is excited to announce their Fall Rummage Sale, a cherished event that brings the community together while raising funds for to help the church (such as the new altar furnishings). This year’s sale promises to be bigger and better than ever, but they can’t do it without your help!
Why Volunteer?
Volunteering at the rummage sale is a wonderful way to serve the community, meet new people, and make a difference. Whether you have a few hours or a few days to spare, your time and effort will be greatly appreciated. Plus, it’s a fun and rewarding experience for all involved!
Volunteer Opportunities:
Set-Up Crew: Help us transform our social hall by arranging tables, sorting donations, and organizing items for display. Set-up will take place on September 9, 10, and 11 from 9 AM to 5 PM.
Sales Assistants: Assist shoppers, keep the sales area tidy, and manage transactions.
Clean-Up Crew: Help pack up unsold items and restore our space to its original state. Pack-up will be on Friday, September 13 from about 1-3 PM
Donation Sorters: Sort and categorize donations as they come in, ensuring everything is in good condition and ready for sale.
Important Note
We ask that volunteers commit to a minimum of 4-hour shifts, as an hour here and there doesn’t provide sufficient time to learn where things need to go. Your dedication and continuity are vital to the smooth operation of the event.
Tasks Include:
Getting items out of cars and bringing them in.
Distributing items to the proper areas.
Unpacking boxes.
Assisting with any other tasks as needed.
On Friday, packing up remaining items and assisting with loading them onto the waiting Veteran’s truck.
