St. Vincent de Paul Update 5/14/20

“Pain and suffering have come into your life, but remember pain, sorrow, suffering are but the kiss of Jesus — a sign that you have come so close to Him that He can kiss you.”

– St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta

“The secret of happiness is to live moment by moment and to thank God for all that He, in His goodness, sends to us day after day.”

– St. Gianna Molla

St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta once said that Jesus hanging on the cross with his arms spread wide and his head tilted down is ready to embrace you.  We hope that our efforts in helping people pay their rent and utilities and giving them food is like a comforting embrace, especially since we cannot do that physically right now.  Since April 15th we have been to help 22 families and 106 people with food from our pantry.  Thank you to all who support us with food, toiletries, paper products, monetary donations, and your prayers!

We continue to pray for our priests, office staff, and parishioners.  We are so grateful for all of your support.  Please continue to pray for us and if you can support us and the church during this time of adversity we would greatly appreciate it.  If you are able to purchase items for our pantry we need:

  • Progresso Soup
  • Boxed Mashed Potatoes
  • Any Helper (Hamburger, Tuna, Chicken)
  • Cereal
  • Brownies
  • Cookies
  • Pancake Mix
  • Syrup
  • Dish Soap

God Bless,
