St. Vincent de Paul

St. Vincent de Paul update for June 1, 2025

“Above all, let your love for one another be intense, because love covers a multitude of sins. Be hospitable to one another without complaining. As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace.” – 1Peter 4:8-10

Jesus has taught us to look beyond our own needs, and to care for one another. He invites us to look beyond current struggles, fostering a mindset of hope and encouraging one another. Here are some ways to help our neighbors: Offer food, provide transportation, help with children, help in household chores, checking in on neighbors, offer financial assistance, listen and offer emotional support. These steps can make a meaningful impact in the lives of the less fortunate. What is on your to-do list?

The pantry is in need of these items listed in order of most importance:

  • Cash Donations – Blue Envelopes at Church entrances
  • $25 Gift Cards – Walmart, Meijer, Kroger
  • Dish Soap
  • Shampoo
  • Pump Hand Soap
  • Peanut Butter
  • Helpers – Hamburger, Tuna
  • Canned – Chii
  • Canned – Mixed Vegetables
  • Pancake Mix
  • Pancake Syrup
  • Corn Muffin Mix
  • Jello

Meijer Simply Give campaign is a wonderful initiative to support our pantry. With the double match day on June 14th, every $10 Simply Give donation card will effectively contribute $30 to help those in need through our pantry. Cards are located at each church entrance, to be taken to Meijer on 24 Mile Road and Hayes for purchase.

God Bless you for loving our neighbors,
St. Vincent De Paul Society
