The Real Presence of Christ

When we receive the Eucharist, the minster offering Holy Communion to us says, “the Body of Christ.” We respond with “Amen” which signifies our belief that what is visible to us as a small host has actually become by the words of Christ and the gift of the Holy Spirit, the actual Body of Christ. In our “Amen” we profess our faith in the Real Presence of Christ. We receive Jesus, our Lord and Savior into our very selves in a sacramental encounter of intimacy.

Let your “Amen” resound in faith!
