How can we make everyone feel welcome in our community?

Do we have built-in secular exclusions? (Race, age, political leanings)

One of the best ways to help everyone feel included is through a personal invite to a ministry.  We always need more volunteers, but sometimes when new people join a committee or group, they feel excluded. Have you ever presented a new idea that was met with resistance?  Remember, new ideas help change culture and force people to be more open-minded.
