What could be better than being an angel?

Tuesday of the 1st Week in Ordinary Time

Fr. Ron shares how he often hears that when a family loses a loved one they are glad to be having an angel in heaven. However, Fr. Ron reminds us that n heaven we are not going to be angels, we are going to be something much better than angels. There is nothing better than this.

This comes from the first reading from Hebrews as well as Psalm 8 from today’s readings.
Fr. Ron shares how this reminds him of camping up north and looking and being overwhelmed by the beauty of all of the stars in the skies.

What is man that you should be mindful of him,
or the son of man that you should care for him?
You have made him little less than the angels,
and crowned him with glory and honor.
You have given him rule over the works of your hands,

Psalm 8

We should embrace being human more.
